## LYOS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LYOS (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the LYOS app (the “App”) for your Shopify store.
### 1. Information We Collect
#### a. Merchant-Provided Information
When you install or interact with the App, we may collect and store information you provide, such as:
- Contact information (e.g., email address)
- App configuration details, settings, and other inputs you submit through the App
We do not store merchant conversation histories (i.e., chat-style conversation logs). Inputs are processed to produce the requested output and are not retained as a conversation transcript by us (except for limited technical logs as described below).
#### b. Shopify Store Information (Shop Metadata)
When you install the App, Shopify provides certain information to us to enable the App to function, which may include:
- Store domain
- Shopify shop ID
- Other shop metadata and details Shopify makes available to apps based on the permissions you approve
#### c. Theme Code Stored in the App
To provide the App’s functionality, we may store theme code related to the themes you choose to work on within the App (for example, theme files or portions of theme content you load, generate, or manage via the App). We store this theme code to support the features you use (such as generating requested code changes and maintaining your app workflow).
#### d. Storefront Password (If Applicable)
If your storefront is password-protected, we may request your storefront password so the App can access your storefront pages for functionality you enable (for example, previewing or validating outputs). We store the storefront password to keep the App functional until you update it or uninstall the App. We protect it using appropriate security measures and use it only for this purpose.
#### e. Storefront Page Rendering and Temporary Screenshots
We may use automated tools (for example, Playwright) to load your store’s publicly accessible storefront URLs (or password-gated pages if you provided a storefront password) to generate previews or verify storefront behavior. This may involve capturing screenshots temporarily during processing. We do not store these screenshots as part of the App’s normal operation.
#### f. App Usage and Technical Data
We may collect technical data necessary to operate, maintain, and secure the App, such as:
- Error logs and diagnostic information
- Timestamps and basic operational events
We do not use analytics or tracking cookies unless explicitly disclosed.
#### g. Customer Data
We do not collect or store your customers’ personal data through the App.

### 2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Store and manage merchant-provided settings and theme code necessary for App functionality
- Generate theme-related code based on your requests and inputs
- Support previews/verification of storefront behavior as part of the App’s features
- Respond to support requests
- Fix bugs, maintain reliability, and improve the App experience
We do not use merchant or customer data for advertising, profiling, or targeted marketing. We may contact merchants about the App, including service-related messages (such as account, security, support, and important updates) and, where permitted by law, product announcements or onboarding tips. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

### 3. Theme Changes Are Manually Applied by Merchants
The App may generate theme-related code (such as Liquid, JSON, CSS, or JavaScript) based on your requests and inputs. The App does not automatically edit, inject, or update your theme files in Shopify. Any theme changes occur only if you manually implement the generated code in your Shopify theme (for example, by copying/pasting or applying changes yourself). You are responsible for reviewing and applying any changes you choose to make.

We do not sell personal information, and we share it only as described in this Policy.
We may share information only in limited circumstances, such as:
- Service providers who help operate the App (for example, hosting, infrastructure, and an AI service provider used to generate code outputs). These providers process information on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and compliance reasons, such as responding to lawful requests or protecting our rights.

- Theme code stored in the App is retained while needed to provide the features you use.
- Storefront passwords are retained only while needed for App functionality and are deleted upon uninstall (or earlier if you update/remove them).
- We do not retain storefront screenshots as part of normal App operation.
- When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it using reasonable measures.
